Relationships can be hot, & relationships can be cold. That is the nature of being with someone you either really like, love, or just enjoy being around. But the dangerous part about relationships is when they become boring. Now I know everybody has different levels of excitement, but right now I’m focusing on couples that have been together for a while. You know the ones that when they first started were hot, and now the everyday tasks of life have caused them to to be cold. Yes, those are the ones and I want to give you a few tips to catching your man’s eye again.

I mean at some point we all get there. Having to go to work during the day. Coming home at night after picking up the kids in most cases. Trying to get dinner. Trying to get everybody settled for the night. It is a constant cycle that most times leaves very little room for romance.

Trust me when I say all of these things are very important, but when you start a relationship it’s almost like buying a car. You see all the bells and whistles. You check it out. Its so pretty. It is your dream car. But after so long, being on the road just like anything else requires maintenance. If you don’t maintain it, it ends up with french fries in the backseat, trash on the floor, and an engine that doesn’t run so smoothly.

I say all this to say, when it comes to you and your relationship, take the time out to do those things that caught your lovers eye in the beginning. Yes we all evolve and mature, but there is nothing better to a man than his lover flirting with him. Like when his lover sets the mood creating the spirit of the chase and catching some suga. Look I know its silly, but men love attention. Many men have been taught to never show emotion or hurt when they don’t get something. This is where they shut down when their partner is not giving them that attention. It is hard to show emotions and they just take it.

Simply put the dangers of when a relationship becomes boring, is men are very visual and when the eye starts to wander. Well when they see something that they have been looking for from there partner and not getting. Needless to say bad things can happen.

Once again this is where you can take the opportunity to just love on your man. There’s nothing like an innocent back rub. Playing in your man’s hair or bald head. For a little flirtation start by telling him how sexy he is and how he still makes you want him. Trust me, I know you’re sitting there thinking he should already know that you love him, but telling him everyday and going back to how you first gave your all at the beginning of your relationship can be amazing to buildings that romance.

NEW YORK – April 14, 2014 – Donald Faison (Scrubs) makes a special guest appearance on tomorrow night’s all-new episode of Syfy’s critically-acclaimed Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge, Tuesday, April 15 at 10PM ET/PT. In the episode, the seven remaining creature designers create fantastical creatures that have been slain and mounted on the wall of a wizard’s castle.  To further bring humor and life to their creations, the designers must write a script to tell the darkly comic tale of how their creature died and how it feels about being mounted to the wall in the wizard’s enchanted trophy room.

The creature designers must incorporate one element of mechanization and, with only three days to manifest an enchanted trophy head, figuring out eye mechanization proves a major challenge for several designers. The workshop is abuzz with painting, furring, and accessorizing until the very last moment. When the time comes to present creatures at the screen test before judges Brian Henson, Kirk Thatcher and Beth Hathaway, the trophy heads come to life and engage in hilarious repartee with the wizard, played by special guest Faison.

The seven creature designers still in the competition are: Russ Adams of Ogden, UT; Ben Bayouth of Woodland Hills, CA; Robert Bennett of Orlando, FL; Jake Corrick of Belle Vernon, PA; Melissa Doss of Big Bear, CA; Ivonne Escoto of Los Angeles, CA and Lex Rudd of Guerneville, CA.

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge is a production of The Jim Henson Company.  Brian Henson serves as executive producer with his sister Lisa Henson, the company’s CEO.  Also executive producing Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge are Joseph Freed (Little People Big World, Rachael Ray) and Rob Bagshaw (Paradise Hotel, Top Chef Masters, Project Runway All Stars).

TV Land to Launch New Version of the Iconic Hit Series “Candid Camera” This Summer

NEW YORK-TV Land is set to reboot the hidden camera reality television series “Candid Camera,” with Ben Silverman’s multimedia studio Electus and Peter Funt’s Candid Camera, Inc. co-producing, it was announced today by Larry W. Jones, President of TV Land. TV Land is ordering 10 episodes to air this summer.

“A remake of Candid Camera is the perfect addition to our portfolio of original series,” said Jones. “The show is full of joyful laughter that catches you off guard and leaves you in high spirits – exactly the outlook that our brand embodies.”

“Candid Camera” introduced the hidden camera concept to television in 1948, and the series continued in several iterations over the course of more than 50 years. The landmark series concealed cameras to capture the reactions of ordinary people being confronted with unusual and often challenging situations. The payoff, when unsuspecting people are told, “Smile, you’re on ‘Candid Camera!’” is one of TV’s most memorable taglines.

In addition to Ben Silverman, the new show will be executive produced and co-hosted by former “Candid Camera” host Peter Funt, son of the show’s original creator and host, Allen Funt. “We’ll be daring but respectful, funny yet insightful,” explained Peter Funt. “I can’t think of better partners to help pull this off than Electus and the team at TV Land.”

“Candid Camera is one of the most innovative shows in television history and we can’t wait to bring its unique and distinct style to today’s audience,” said Silverman. “It is an honor to get to work on the brand with Peter Funt and the team at TV Land.”

Funt and Silverman are executive producers. Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox will serve as executive producers for TV Land. The package was handled by Mark Itkin of William Morris Endeavor.

I remember the days of walking through Edison High School trying to fit in. Whatever the latest fad was in clothing, music, or TV, I was right there trying to be in the know. Why? Just so I could fit in with the cool kids. I know it sounds crazy, but that’s something that many of us have been through.

I finally made it through, by the hairs on my chinny, chin, chin thinking the days of dealing with people who had a high school mentality were behind me. I can honestly say at that point in my life I was young and naive. Although today I am not spending my time walking the halls of your local high school, I do spend lots of times walking in the midst of adults who have a high school mentality.

For example, I will never proclaim that I can fix your problem. From what I’ve seen by others in psychology, ministry, and so on, helping people identify where they can make the change to something, is the first steps to resolving an issue and I do this well. So when people come to me struggling with feeling neglected, or like they are a misfit, most of the issues really are juvenile when they look back at them.

For example a constant in my life is those struggling with neglect on social media. “Why have they unfriended me on Facebook?” “Why don’t they retweet my tweets on Twitter?” “I just said the same thing somebody else did and he got a ton of likes and I didn’t.” Then there’s my favorite. The long drawn-out posts about someone is leaving Facebook, and Facebook is this big bad horrible monster.

Listen at the end of the day people will be people. We live in a world where many men and women are trying to get in where they fit in. These types of people want to run with others who they think can do something to help them progress. What you will find is with these type of people, if you have nothing to offer, they will never come around, until you have something.

Now by no means is this something to get upset or mad about. Real talk; there are many people that make up this world. Unfortunately we have many folks who love to use other people. That’s just how they’re made. That’s just what they do.

So with that thought in mind, why would you want them as a friend anyway. Going back to high school there were so many little groups here and there at lunch time. Gathering together to comfort themselves, going in on all the other circles of people who weren’t like them and why they were better than that group.

Its the same thing as adults, but we don’t have the common grounds of a school yard to do this in. So nowadays it’s work, the gym, church, and you name it. Remember wherever you are, if you have to play politics just to get along, then you have to think are these people, folk I truly want in my life?

In closing high school is a time for many to look back and think of memories good or bad. But with those memories in the past, don’t let the negativity of a high school mentality, continue to run your future.

Ultimate Warrior Dead at Age 54

Only days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and coming back from a hiatus, lasting longer than 18 years wrestling fans around the world are saddened as the Ultimate Warrior born James Brian Hellwig on died April 8th. Details are sketchy but reports are stating he collapsed in a hotel parking lot and soon after he was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The WWE shortly after that released an official statement confirming the passing of their superstar saying, “WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars, the Ultimate Warrior.” Throughout the night many fans posted on social media paying tribute to the wrestling legend. The Ultimate Warrior is survived by his wife Dana and daughters Indiana and Mattigan who were all present at his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Our condolences go out to his family and may he rest in peace.
